PART 5 Rock Lee and Tenten
part 5 of Tsunade’s desicion


“Let’s go train.” Tenten said. Lee nodded and smiled acting his own cute self. Tenten smiled a little, but not enough for Lee to see. She liked acting like she didn’t care, even though she did. She did like him, once she got used to his looks, he was polite, funny, caring, supportive, respectful, thoughtful, and very strong. He even had a cute look to him.

As they walked though the trees, Tenten got a kunai and swung it around her finger for amusement. Tenten thought about Neji. Her crush-wait ex-crush, the nerve of him! He had liked her but showed her no affection for her. After all those years, once she fanilly gave up on him, he asked her out.

She said no of course. But she remembered to always show a little bit of affection to Lee, so she wouldn’t hurt him as Neji did her. He was such a jerk! She thought. It is weird that Lee was the exact opposite of Neji. When they were kids, Lee was the determined loser, not talented, not strong, sweet, sensitive guy. While Neji was the genius, always winner, talented, strong, not sensitive, keeps to himself kind of guy. Only one thing had changed. That was Lee was strong now, and talented with his tai jutsu. In fact, now Lee was as strong as the Hyuuga, maybe even stronger. Anyway, since they were complete opposites, Lee gave her as much affection as possible. Which at first freaked her out, she was used to giving attention, not getting it, but now was used to it.

She looked at her teammate. He was enjoying the scenery, and closing his eyes so he could relax more. When he opened his eyes to see her looking at him, he smiled just like always, and Tenten couldn’t help but smile this time.

Lee liked to see Tenten smile. He really liked her. She was the best kunoichi in the village. She was even stronger than that- Temari person, whom he disliked because of her dreadful attitude. She was so mean to Tenten, when she could have easily kicked her butt without that stupid fan. It made Tenten look ridiculous in front of everyone. Lee had been so mad he went against the rules to fight Temari. Tenten pretended not to like him; to look cool; but he knew that she cared for him.

They finally reached the training grounds. Tenten immediately threw her kunai at Lee. Lee quickly dodged it, and jumped behind a tree. He took a kunai out of his pouch and ran towards Tenten. She threw shuriken and more at him, which he blocked and dodged as best he could. I need to get close, he thought, all my attacks are close range. He sped up and yelled, “LEAF HURRICANE!” She immediately blocked it by shoving a kunai into his leg.

Surprised at what she had done, she stood there. Lee took the opportunity and quickly kicked her to the ground.
“You must always pay attention in battle, never get distracted,” he said proudly. He stepped triumphantly forward, only to find himself pulled into the trees by a rope. He sighed. He had fallen right into Tenten’s trap. She smiled, wiping the blood from her face and struggling to her feet.
“I am paying attention,” she said, looking up at Lee. Lee grabbed a kunai and cut the rope. He came crashing down… onto Tenten. Lee stared at her and gasped.
“Are you okay? I’m so sorry!” She blushed. He was so close to her face that their lips were only inches away from each other. Seeing her blush made Lee blush as well.
“Is your leg okay?” Tenten asked, breaking the silence.
“It’s fine,” Lee said softly, then smiled. That cute smile again, Tenten thought.  “You really got me with that trap.”  
“Yeah,” she said. “I knew you would come over to help me up.” Lee laughed and then looked at her more seriously.
“Tenten, you are so beautiful,” he said caressing her face.
“More beautiful than Sakura?” she asked as he inched closer.
“Of course you are.” Lee felt something that made him want to kiss her. He didn’t want to just kiss her though. He felt he should ask or something to make sure she wanted to be kissed.

Tenten could almost taste his lips, but Lee backed away.
“Neji wouldn’t want me doing this,” he said. Neji and he had become friends. She grabbed his collar.
“I don’t care about Neji. Please Lee.” Lee eyes became soft. He leaned in close and kissed her. It was the best thing either of them had experienced.

When he looked at her again she was dumb-struck. My first kiss, she thought. Lee gasped, “Please forgive me,” when he realized what he had done. He stood and helped her up. She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him. He returned the embrace; his hands around her hips.
“I love you,” Tenten said. Lee blushed and replied smiling, “I love you too.”
“Well, let’s go home then,” Tenten said.
“Wait!” Lee said, and Tenten turned to face him. “Am I cuter than Neji?” He asked, pouting. Tenten smiled.
“Of course you are,” she said, tickling him under his chin. He let out a giggle. “Funnier too,” Tenten added. She forgave Neji and started going out with Lee.
